Our Snapshot Polls are open for members and non-members of Society Cornwall alike. Promoted through our social media channels, participants are therefore self-selecting and the poll cannot be quoted to be representative of the Cornish population.

In July 2011, Air Southwest announced it was pulling out of Plymouth and Newquay airports from September. We asked whether you thought Newquay Cornwall Airport was essential for the future prosperity of the Cornish economy. Many shared their views to explain why they answered ‘yes’ or ‘no’.

As a member of Society Cornwall you will be part of an online community that has Cornwall and its communities at its heart. Sometimes we may be looking for people interested in making comments to the media and you could be invited to contribute. Sometimes we will offer you an entry into a prize draw or be able to offer other rewards. But our members have told us that isn’t what makes them tick… most importantly is the fact that you will be taking part.

Society Cornwall is a research community of people living in Cornwall, interested in sharing their views on matters affecting their lives, Cornish communities and wider society in general.

Being a member of Society Cornwall gives you the opportunity to have your say through topical surveys. You may even get invited to participate in special discussion groups, to test products, or be asked to contribute to media interviews.
