Our Snapshot Polls are open for members and non-members of Society Cornwall alike. Promoted through our social media channels, participants are therefore self-selecting and the poll cannot be quoted to be representative of the Cornish population.

In July 2011, Air Southwest announced it was pulling out of Plymouth and Newquay airports from September. We asked whether you thought Newquay Cornwall Airport was essential for the future prosperity of the Cornish economy. Many shared their views to explain why they answered ‘yes’ or ‘no’.

Why Join Society Cornwall

group-shot

As a member of Society Cornwall you will be part of an online community that has Cornwall and its communities at its heart. Being a part of Society Cornwall is your opportunity to be counted; sharing your views and making your opinion known on issues concerning you, Cornwall directly and indirectly. Sometimes we may be looking for people interested in making comments to the media and you could be invited to contribute. Sometimes we will offer you an entry into a prize draw or be able to offer other rewards. But our members have told us that isn’t what makes them tick… most importantly is the fact that you will be taking part.
